†Serbian citizens holding passports issued by the Serbian Coordination Directorate (Koordinaciona uprava) are excluded from the visa exemption.
**For Taiwan, the visa exemption applies exclusively to holders of passports that include the national ID card number.
Citizens of San Marino and the Holy See are exempt from the visa requirement in all cases.

IMPORTANT!: If you need to apply for a Visa:
1. VISA application in an Italian Embassy may even require 120 days. Please begin the process as soon as possible;
2. Apply for TOURISM VISA (Visto Schengen Uniforme (VSU) - SHORT STAY - TYPE C)
3. If a VISA is required, schedule an appointment at the nearest Italian Embassy/Consulate, gather all required documents (e.g., passport, proof of accommodation, conference registration), and submit the application. Note: required documents may differ country by country, and can vary within time. Please, get in touch with the Italian Embassy/Consulate in your country to get the list of required documents;
